Like to see a hook up with BCS British Computer Society

Post by KeithSloan » Sat May 08, 2010 6:21 pm

I have recently got interested in Reprap's see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/10089419.stm for a good introduction. Anyway I also discovered that the originator or the Reprap is giving a talk at Cardiff University at a British Computer Society meeting on the 13th May http://southwales.bcs.org/event-2010-05-13.htm which is unfortunately too far and too expensive for me to travel too.

Whilst probably too short notice for the 13th, it got me thinking that it would be great if BATC got together with the British Computer Society to stream some of their meetings. At the very least streaming video over the internet should be of interest to BCS members.

Anyway the question is what is the best way to get the two organisations together so that streaming of BCS meetings become a reality.

Hi Keith
Everything is possible
I hope at the BGM to be able to go through the streaming kit with anyone interested in streaming
The kit is not complete so you would need some camera's and help to undetake streaming a lecture.

Talk to me their and lets see if we can put a plan together
