Hi
Just discovered the Open Broadcaster Software project https://obsproject.com/ which is an alternative to Adobe media encoder and has versions to run on Windows, Linux and MAC.
The Linux version could be very interesting to run on a small low wattage platform platform such as Odroid at repeaters sites or other 24 / 7 applications.
It's open source, based on FFmpeg and there are some interesting plug ins such as Chroma Key....
Have fun

Re: Windows / Linux alternative to Adobe media encoder
Hi Guys,
Bob, G7AVU, is using this to stream GB3VL and we are finding it to be a lot more stable on a "flaky" internet connection as it will attempt to reconnect on time out without user intervention. We found that the Adobe encoder would just shut-down on internet loss. Bob is very pleased with the results so far.
Cheers
