GB3GG is now transmitting on 1310Mhz DVB-S2 digital TV with a symbol rate of 1Ms
Coverage of N E lincs seems good but any reception reports are greatfully received.

Beacon only mode. Rx not yet active.

Rx active:

1280MHz FM Analogue

Received in Anlaby Common, west of Hull city centre at D3. Distance is 29.8km. Radio Mobile plot attached.

Had to use my GB3EY look-through filter in front of the Minitioune to keep the Claxby radar out of the front-end.

Thanks for the report Clive it's good to be back on the air and surprised at the coverage reports.
Our aerials are only 40 foot above sea level we only expected coverage of N E Lincolnshire.
The good news is that with the extra interest generated some locals are finding that they can receive EY as well.

I nearly got a lock in Skipsea, Ryde was trying very hard! My QTH is @ 6m ASL, Antenna @ 16m. Will try again tomorrow.

GG is getting out well on 1310MHz.

I received it while out portable today from IO94LI on the Moors north of Helmsley, that's 114KM!
Stable signal D2-D4.

Tried access on 1280 FM but no luck, shows how well the narrowband digital is working.
Screenshot and path plot below, you can see EY off beam on the sdr plot too. VL is 2MHz wide and was just noticeable with qsb too.
1310 is an interesting choice (or there was no options) so near to VL but it works well!

System: 2x28el loopyagi, LNA 0.8dB NF, Tx 80W FM.
