Hey all,

Just wanted to say it was lovely to meet everyone at the National Hamfest. Really looking forward to exploring this further and learning more!

Thanks,
Rose

Hi Rose, sounds as if you may have fallen down the Amateur Television rabbit hole :D There is plenty of advice and info here on the forum and the wiki. Keep us posted with progress.

Yes indeed, its a full 'warren'...if you are going to the RSGB convention there will be a BATC stand there too and a variety of stuff to see, lots of good lectures to choose from too.

Yep it's a rabbit hole aligned with something I used to do, feedhunting. So I already have a 1.25m dish that I'm going to dust off.

Going to make a PicoTuner first as that seems like a really fun project with the aim to gradually build towards a QO100 TX setup. Got some bits on order and digesting the documentation. Currently obsessed with the idea of essentially making an OB setup, going to keep an eye on auctions for something I could mount on my van. I run a live streaming company so already have plenty of video gear.

I'm not currently planning to be at the RSGB convention currently because I would have just spent a week away working.

Also I am in the market for a C-band dish, hard to find here but I feel like someone here might know where I could get my hands on one...
