GB3ZZ - The future?

Post by g8vpg » Wed Aug 11, 2021 8:41 am

I have sad news about the future of GB3ZZ, the Bristol ATV repeater. The Council who have hosted ZZ for 35 years are demolishing and redeveloping the building and there is no space for us in the new building. It seems likely that ZZ will close down in October. We are looking for a new site and would appeal to anyone who has suggestions to reply here. In particular, if anyone knows people in influential positions, perhaps radio amateurs, at potential site owners, this would be helpful. I think the key to getting a foot in the door is the right introduction. Do we know any friendly radio amateurs at BT these days, because there is a lovely, underused site that would be perfect. I used to know a radio amateur that worked there, but they have all retired now.

Don't know if its any use but Bath Uni, being a bit technical and atop a hill, might be a solution??
