GB3ZZ 146.5MHz input

Post by g8vpg » Sun Nov 13, 2016 9:56 am

I can now report that the 146.5MHz RB-TV input to GB3ZZ is fully operational. We had a lot of problems with on site pagers operating on 153MHz, but have now successfully notched this out by using both sides of a VHF diplexer in series. The input settings are frequency 146.5MHz, symbol rate 333ks/s, FEC 7/8, video PID 256, audio disabled but you must set an audio PID of 4095 to lock up Minitioune. The aerial is a 4 element Wimo beam pointing South East. The RB-TV input is relayed on the channel 1 repeater output on both the RF and streamed outputs and you will see the full Minitioune page, so you can read your MER etc. At my home QTH, a 9 mile obstructed path, using a 4 element Tonna at 5m agl, I can access with under 200mW with an MER of 5.5dB. All reports will be gratefully received - please post a message here or on our stream chat board.
