This looks to be my 'best bet' at getting a signal to set up my gear with. However, I have not yet heard/seen it and I guess it's only transmitting when someone accesses it, which I can't do as yet.

Is there anyone more local to the repeater who would be willing to arrange a sked with me and open the repeater, send pictures through it so that I can see if I can receive it please?

Pictures from GB3VL and a chat on 144.750Mhz means that I've now got the system up and running and pictures as well.

It seems, to me, that some of the locals round here just want to slag newcomers off though.

Ah well, I'll keep 23 and 13cm ATV for the contests instead then. Maybe the people who want to work people for points wont care that a new comer has a cheap system to play with.

I may also put JOTA/TDOTA and other Scout/Guide events on air using ATV as well. I do hope that ATV stations wont slag off those stations...
