GB3GV was put back on air last Sunday 29 June.

The antennas have now been refurbished and the feeders replaced with some very low loss coax. TX appears to be working fine with no reported problems. Unfortunately on RX there is a problem with a constant radar type of interference on the input. A quick and very temporary fix was made by finding an input frequency where the interference seamed less severe. Consequently GV is now set a few Mhz higher than its proper 1249 Mhz input frequency.

There is a planned visit to the repeater site scheduled for Sunday afternoon the 13th July. Anyone able to help us by transmitting some pictures into GV would be most welcome.

Any signal reports appreciated.

Hi
We received GB3GV at P5 at the BATC 60 year celebration last weekend 14/15 June 2009
at the Hellidon Lakes Hotel, near Daventry.

Transmitting to the repeater on 1249 MHz gave a very blacked out picture.
May be we should have tried transmitting on a higher frequency.

It's the only local repeater we could find either on 23 or 13 cms.

We could receive GB3TZ digital repeater at Luton.

David, All,

GB3GV has been performing without problems since the antenna repairs last year although the receiver is a bit deaf.

Unfortunately sometime during the last month or so GV's receiver section decided to stop working, which was a great pity considering that the BATC's 60 year celebrations were taking place at Daventry.

Last Sunday the receiver was removed and is now undergoing repairs and testing, consequently GB3GV is now running in beacon mode only.
Hopefully we can return things to normal operation as soon as possible.

Regards
David G8OBP..
