I meant to post this a while back, but forgot.
I received a very helpful reply from the repeater keeper to my inquiry about whether the repeater was still operational, however activity tends to be low due to RADAR problems and a proposed move to a better site has not yet been approved. In fact, he thought that the authorities who had to approve a move to another site or change in frequency, would not be giving approval in the foreseeable future..
I'll be looking out for signals from it if conditions on the bands improve, or if I go out to a portable site that might have a better chance of seeing pictures from the repeater.
