Hi All..

Another year has passed and it's soon time for the Summer Fun ATV Contest.

1200 UTC 11 June 2011 - 1200 UTC 12 June 2011 - BATC Summer Fun Contest

My Portable activity locations...
Saturday 11th June i will be on the NORTH side of the North Yorks Moors with a limited path to south, it should be interesting for local ativity..

Sunday 12th June i will be on the SOUTH side of the North Yorkshire Moors at the usual site IO94LI, excellent take-off towards SE/S/SW.

Active bands will be:
70cm Anlaogue/Digital - 25el 100W
23cm Analogue/Digital - 2x28el 100W
13cm Analogue - 80cm and 30W
3cm Analogue - 80cm and 1W


As usual if you are planning to be near your radio/tv gear in the shack or thinking of going portable then let us all know on here and we can all enjoy some more activity on ATV.

Hi,

I suggest we try to make this a BIG digital activity weekend (as happened in August last year) and get as many people on as possible.

Please pass the word around and encourage others - we should also post the weekend activities on to the various Yahoo groups.

I will hopefully be on 70cms DATV, 23cms ATV and DATV and 3cms ATV.

The Grimsby team will be on over the weekend from RAF Stenigot.
With the addition of a high altitude balloon launch, weather permitting Saturday morning.
Live video and GPS RTTY data included with tracking on spacenear.us.
WE hope to stream the event live on GB3GG.

Symbol rate: 2MS/s FEC 3/4 or on request. Frequency: 436.0 MHz.
Talkback: 144.750 FM Vertical.
Can also receive only TV on 3cm, 10GHz
Location: Harrow N W London. Grid: IO91TO. Antenna height 500ft asl.
I will also be watching BATC.tv GB3BH stream for any mesages.

Good stuff - lots of activity then

I asked Chris to put up a chat only page at BATC.TV, to keep the bandwidth down for mobile users, which we can use specifically for talkback (some of used GB3HV in August).

He has already responded with http://www.batc.tv/chat_only.php - let me have your comments and I'll feed them back to Chris - I'm trying to get him to do an ATV only KST type page!

We also need to put an email out on the UK microwave group and I've suggested to Dave G8GKQ that a BATC info email should go out as well...

It happens to be the same weekend as the Dutch Veron ATV contest: I shall be on 70cms, 23cms, 13cms and 3cms. Let's see if I can make some G contacts during the weekend - PA2TG, JO22FE.
