Hi
I am located about 30 to 40 miles west of the GB3UD repeater and I would be grateful if someone could provide me with the current status,
eg operational times, parameters etc. as I would like to access GB3UD.

Thanks

The repeater's receivers are as follows; For DVB-S Digital Input a Cisco PowerView 9850 with ASI Digital Output and for Analogue Input an EchoStar LT8700 both with an Input Frequency of 1249 Mhz and a Digital MPEG2 Output at 1318.5 Mhz

Settings for Digital Transmissions through the repeater; Input Frequency 1249Mhz, Symbol Rate 4.167 MS/s, FEC set to 1/2, PID's set to VIDEO 162, PMT 32 and AUDIO 88

NOTE: Both the FM Analogue Input and Digital Input are always Output as a Digital MPEG2 Output with the above Digital settings at 1318.5 Mhz with MPEG2 4.167MS/s FEC 1/2 Output Encoding.

The GB3UD stream is fed to the BATC by Simon G4OUK from his QTH in Cheshire

See you on the repeater.

Talkback 144.750

Activity night every Wednesday

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I will be curious as to how you get on as I am about seven or so miles south of you. However, I rarely see any activity on GB3UD, unfortunately.
Hi
Thank you for the information.
I will start by trying to monitor your transmissions next Wednesday, what time ?
Unfortunately I only have a 2m handheld so I may not hear the talk back.
I can however easily access the 23 repeater GB3SE and I assume you are not to far away - for beam alignment.
Thanks again
Hi Chris
Yes we are quite close - do you have a 23cm setup?
I have seen you on QO-100, but not recently as unfortunately my system is off air should be back at the end of the year.
No, I have a mast I could put a Yagi on but am loathe to buy anything until I know I am likely to be able to access this repeater. Plus 23cms seems a bit in doubt these days.... I'll let you be the Guinea pig Paul :) You can monitor the stream from GB3UD here, I haven't seen any activity at all in months.
OK Thanks I will let you know how I get on.
I also have most of the equipment I need for 70cm, if you use that band?
