Pluto SDR Clock Source Switching

Hello,
I have new Pluto with Rev D PCB, and I connect an external 40Mhz from GPS.
From putty I have set fw_setenv refclk_source external , and verify with. fw_printenv refclk_source, it's OK, no problems.
But It seems that if I unplug GPS, pluto automatically switches to its internal tcxo, can anyone confirm?

That is what I see here on my Rev D Pluto. Another facet of this is if people incorrectly set up a Rev D for an external source it's not immediately obvious it isn't locked to the EXTERNAL source, because it still works...
