I will be on from home, Harrow, N.W. of London, IO91UO during most of the contest.
Only active on 70cm digital with Tx/Rx
May be analogue and digital receive only on 23/13/3 cm.
Due to a hill to the north I can only see from about 70 degrees thru South to 280 degrees.
I should at least be able to work Peter...
Will listen 144.750 MHz FM and 144.170 MHz SSB (I hope that's the correct frequency!)
73's

House guest has gone home earlier than I thought, so I am now listening 144.750 and watching GB3VL.

I will have to lash up the PA again, as I didn't get time to mount it into the permanent box, but I'll have that sorted a bit later on.

Not heard or seen anyone as yet.

14:40UTC and no ATV contacts made yet.

I've been listening since 12:00UTC and called a few times, but no replies yet.

19:50 UTC - still nothing heard on 144.750MHz and no replies to CQ calls. Using 100 Watts to a vertical on 2M FM, but that is usually OK for simplex working up to Leeds and down past Nottingham towards the Leicester area. East is flat, out across Lincolnshire and NE towards Hull is usually workable from here.

Is there much activity in any other area?

20:36UTC - Still no replies to CQ calls on 144.750MHz and nothing heard on 144.170/175MHz. Although I admit that my 2M antenna is only a vertical.

Nothing seen on GB3VL, other than the test cards etc., although, again, I know repeater contacts won't count for contest points.

Where is everyone? Am I really in such a poor area for ATV that I can't even get through on 2M FM using 100 Watts? Am I the only one trying to put in an entry in this contest in this area?

OK - It's 21:18UTC (10:18BST) so I'm giving up for tonight.

Nothing heard on 144.750 or 144.170/175MHz and not even anyone using the GB3VL repeater, so I guess that I'm not in range of any contest stations at the moment.

I think I just heard Rob on 144.750MHz, but at 126km away it was difficult to make anything out using FM.

Saw a picture from Rob via GB3VL a while ago, when I guess he was testing that the gear was working, but not seen any other pictures through VL or direct yet. No other responses to CQ calls on 144.750 or 144.170MHz as yet either.

Contest period has just ended and, apart from trying to send and receive pictures with M0DTS/P, I did not hear anyone on 144.750MHz FM nor 144.170MHz SSB. Other than Rob, no one answered CQ calls either.

With the cancellation of the Elvaston Castle Rally, I was hoping that a few people might be about. Did anyone else take part? If so, did you make any ATV contacts at all, I wonder?

Looking at the results of last years contest, I see there were one or two entries on most bands and one person made about 7 contacts on 23cm, and 5 on 70cm and 13cm, from IO93wh, which is 78km from here and I would have expected to hear a signal on 2M FM/SSB from there, so I guess they were not active this year?

I wonder what happened to everyone else?
