My son Josh lives in Warwick and these hills are conveniently nearby, meaning I could combine a days operating with a subsequent visit to see him.
Being fairly central and with mostly good take-offs in nearly all directions, I wondered is anyone has experience of operating from here?
The best carpark in terms of playing with masts etc seems to be 52.16791480704562, -1.4235707861201123
I'm thinking it could be good for north, Wales and Shropshire and probably the southern contingent unless there's some Chilterns in the way....

Yes, I went up there on the way home from CAT21 and worked G4FRE 42km away in IO92FN on 5.7GHz DATV with an MER of 22 - https://batc.org.uk/contests/6cm-ladder/
It's a good site to the north and west but you have to pay a £2.50 parking charge!

The other end of the CAT21 path was at Hartshill IO92FN. On narrowband GB3OHM was heard but no sign of GB3ZME.

OK, £2.50 isn't a problem....might try the October 2+70 activity weekend from there. Might be a path up to Rob too.
