I have upgraded the shack PC with an Nvidia GTX1060 graphics card (and a 750 watt PSU).
The plan is to use the PC running OBS / Vmix to drive the IPTS input on Portsdown but I'm not sure this has been documented anywhere yet so would appreciate some pointers on the following - I'm happy to write it up on a wiki page if useful for anyone else.
I can see the Nvidia hardware encoder in OBS but only H264 - do I need more drivers etc for H265?
Where do I select UDP out and put in the target address?
Once I get OBS sorted, I will then look at Vmix

Re: OBS stream out using hardware encoder
That's what I am doing. You need a profile and settings.I suppose you want to know what to do.

Re: OBS stream out using hardware encoder
Of course, it's under "recording" - why didn't I look there rather than the "streaming" tab
Thanks Mike.
Thanks Mike.
Re: OBS stream out using hardware encoder
You need a script on the portsdown to capture this add the metadata and modulate. In my case, I am using a Pluto with the script running on it.
