Hi

I've just installed a Lidl 271723 IP Surveillance Camera (image below) which is working well with the IOS OMGuard HD App, but I would like to get the stream on to my PC (or Portsdown?) for possible transmission. However, I have been unable to find how to get the stream out of it.

I have tried rtsp://192.168.2.233:554/live/av0?user=admin&passwd=mypassword, and many variations on this with no luck. Before I resort to Wireshark, I wonder if anyone else has succeeded?

Apparently it's a SMARTWARES IAN 271723

I found a discussion about it on a Czech website http://blog.kostecky.cz/2016/02/recenze ... nosti.html that says this can't be done. There was some hacking software around, but I am not sure it's safe.

Thanks both for the suggestions. I had already tried the ispyconnect utility with no luck.

After reading the Czech website, I downloaded UGRS2Player from the Lidl support site and, even though it asked for the Device ID number for my camera, it did not find it on the network.

I'll try WireShark when I'm feeling like a challenge - but not tonight!

Dave,
I had the same challenge 2 years ago with no luck either.
After an intense Wireshark session I've figured out, that the videostream itself is scambled. Maybe with username and password. It simply doesn't make sense to reverse engineer that cheapo camera. There are others an the market, where you can simply grap the stream via UPD.

My advise: Return it as broken and get your money for a nice christmas dinner.
