Blackmagic Design Television Studio...

Hi, Folks

Does anyone use (or have experience of using) a BMD Atem Television Studio? What do you use to control it? I see that you can buy an App for the iPad to use it fully, but the free version has limited functionality, are there any other viable solutions?

Also, since it only appears to have HDMI and SDI inputs/ outputs, what do you recommend for converting other formats to either of these?
