Tropo enhancement

Post by M0DTS » Thu Oct 07, 2010 10:48 am

Hi All..

Keep an eye on your atv receivers through this weekend and into next week, the high pressure coming across from the east 'may' bring some good conditions on the bands... keep your fingers crossed but dont hold your breath at the same time!

Well that worked out well....i think everyone had had some tropo around the country !
I'm sure there has been some big dx worked..
At my location i've seen two repeaters GB3UD and GB3VL for the first time here!
Stations worked:
M0ATV on Saturday evening with upto P4 at times, 130km
G7AVU on Sunday at upto P4 125km
G4KLB on Monday evening at P4.5 on Analogue and D5 for ~5mins on digital ... My best DX at 418km well i'l never beat that!
I did manage to get a signal into GB3IV for about 5 seconds at 431km but never seen it here, Terry G1LPS was a good signal in/out of GB3IV at 453km!

Great conditions!

GB3UD is still rolling in and out tonight here with me but that will be the last of it by the looks... when is the next opening?!

Some videos/pics of the dx to come soon...
