Hi everyone
I have just purchased two 5.8GHz grid aerials from Polish company, one is quoted at 27dBi and other at 30dBi. My concern is the grid spacing, the 27dBi version measures 15mm and the 30dBi 22mm. These equate more to optimum Lambda /10 of around 2.3GHz and 1.3GHz areas, not 5.8GHz at roughly 4.5mm
Should I be worried or have others used these aerials with similar spacing with good results.

Re: Grid Aerials Reflector Spacing
The aerials Noel and I have been using for our 100 km+ contacts have 21mm spacing on the grid, so I think that what you have should be OK.

Re: Grid Aerials Reflector Spacing
Yes Dave
Mine is 15mm(27dBi), and the question was more to improving the efficiency of the aerials although not clearly worded, my apologies. I have no doubt they will work OK.
