ATV repeater controllers using STV5730 chip

Post by ZL1WTT » Tue Dec 08, 2009 10:36 pm

HI All,

I found some PIC-basic code I am working with from M0CKE. This code of his does most of what I'm looking for, but need to add video display overlay function. Does any know of where I can find PIC-basic code that will talk to this chip (STV5730). Has anyone been here and done this before, or welling to help me out on this project?

I have made a lot of progress in the last few days on this project. As for the STV5730A I have found some code for it. I hope to get the video overlay side of it going later in this coming week. I will be posting information about my ATV controller on my website, if anyone is interested.

Hi

I am not too sure why you are using this chip but I await your results with interest.
Existing controllers are not too good at separating noisy syncs and
do not insert a graphic ID into the corner of the picture, (only text).
It would be good if yours did this.

The main problem using the STV5730A is that it is now obsolete.
There has been no production since the introduction of ROSH regulations.
It might be better to pick a current device.

Cheers John.
