Are the 146MHz NOVs being renewed at the end of this month?

Dave and Noel help please.

Word from the RSGB convention yesterday was that the renewal process for another year's NoV will open shortly.

My gear is ready but the NOV process has been changed on the rsgb web site; you need to have been issued an SRP before you can even start to apply for the NOV. The SRP seems to be intended to get higher power from a fixed location, judging by the v/m calculations at your neighbours fence needed, so you would need an SRP for every portable location!

Back to getting my 24GHz equipment checked out I think

Hi Dave,

I would encourage you to fill it in. It's general purpose, but I think for this application its OK if you are only applying for a low ERP. Best ask Murray but 100W ERP would be a reasonable starting point. The NOV allows temporary, alternative and mobile use with geographic exclusions, i.e. not closer than within 40km of Scotland, not maritime mobile or in any other country.

Alerted by Noel, I went here
http://rsgb.org/main/operating/licensin ... 47mhz-nov/
It took 3 minutes for the 17-18 NoV :D
I can now plan to build the 2m station
