Hi.
Can anyone advise the current status of the personal beacon on IOW?
Many thanks

Hi Dick

It is transmitting on 10235 at present (I can see it), but I know Bob was intending to take it down for some improvements in the next week or 2.

Many thanks Dave.
Untried combination of horn, Bob Platts LNB and an old Amstrad SRX 200 meant that I had no success seeing it this afternoon. So now that I know, I will go along to the waterfront somewhere along the Solent during the week and try a bit harder!
Once I get the frequency calibrated and the bearing correct.........
Thanks

Dick

That's a shame. It's still on.

Where were you trying from?

Signal strength at Bournemouth sea front today was the best I have seen so far.
