DATV in VK(.AU) via HiDEs USB, More info PSE..¿ :) .-.-.

Giday!

Looking to get into Ham DATV.

I've come across these HiDes USB devices that seem to be a compact DVB-T etc USB Transceiver. ??

Can I ask some questions please for those knowledgeable in this area to hopefully answer.

- Which model to buy? .AU exchange rate etc is very poor currently.(UT-100A & UT-200AJH look most interesting / compatible to our needs currently).
- I see some list 50-950Mhz + 1200-1350Mhz. However some models support less. So prefer the fore mentioned to cover 6m,2m,70 & 23cm.
- Looking for something mostly compatible with our normal VK /.AU DVB-T consumer televisions.
- How common is it for current model TV's to have the ability to tune and receive a transmission from these devices on 70cm? (436.5/446.5Mhz in VK).
- What's the lowest bandwidth most consumer DTV's will tune? (I see 2,3,4,5,6,7,8Mhz TX ability).
- Is a Raspberry PI 2 powerful enough to use as an AV feed /driver etc for these?
- Is there a pre done Linux Image for the PI for these? Or Windoze? etc. Pro's / Con's for either OS? How hard to install software wise?
- Can you run two streams (Two different mux'd stations) via these?
- What connections are used for these? (They look like 3.5mm audio sockets?) :(
- What options are available amp wise to increase the output power? (Mainly 70cm, but maybe also 23cm).

OK Possibly more questions later. Big learning curve. ;)
We currently run 70cm VSB for our local ATV repeater but after seeing these I figured it was worth some more investigation into possibly going digital.

Any info appreciated.
