Atom N280, 1.66Ghz to run as portable P.C.

Post by G8DKC » Thu Apr 09, 2015 6:33 pm

Have acquired a HP T5745 Thin Client, just coming on to S/H market. Atom N280, 1.66Ghz, 4Gb Mem Capacity.

No problem fitting your own laptop drive or larger flash drive.

All works well, Dual VGA, Extended Desktop etc, special HP VGA-video adapter for second monitor if needed.

The extension kit comes from the USA (EBay) includes PCIe to PCIe right angle & PCIe to PCI,

fan and serial 9 pin D, and 25pin ports.

Tested TT S2-3200 and 1600, fan needs moving a little for 3200 due to header at the top of the board.

Best Thin Client so far I have used to run demanding software, Tutioune, etc,

should be no problem with "new" usb Rx!

Have a 12v to 19v converter for using from the car, as now we have a fast Cpu they have gone to 19v :(

This will now be my bench Tutioune monitor and /P kit, with 12v Vga monitor for Rx,

and the Odroid U3, HVR 1900 and DATV-Express board for Tx :)

Will update as I play etc, pics attached, S2-1600 not included ;)
