Thanks Bill. I will try Hyperterminal control when i get in front of the Encoder again with a laptop. Are the PIDs only accessable via telnet/ hyperterminal etc. & not via the front Panel (local) control for some reason? The variant we have has no Modulator option & it seems that without this there is no option obvious (via front panel control) to change PIDs.
