Have been trying with HyperTerminal.Has anybody done this to there system to stay with the 256 257 256 Pids in the Digilite Setup.

Hi - had a quick look at this some months ago for exactly the same reason.
Noel sent me reference to the manual but I couldn't see how to get it changed easily ( in the short time I spent on it). Don't remember details but Noel may know ???
GB3TN's DVB TX facility is thus still at Tandberg original Pids (no issue in reality as its not been requested more than a few times to my knowledge )

I had another look at the PDF manual & the only bits I could find were as follows:
Video PID Option (V3.3 on)The Video PID option is selected from the Menu by pressing the Video
PID softkey. The option is used for entering or updating video PIDs, as
required. Enter a PID using the keypad, then press the Enter softkey to
enter it (see page 3-8, Allocating PIDs).
NOTE…
This option is only displayed if the Frequency Agile QPSK Option Module is fitted
Audio PID Option (V3.3 on)NOTE…
The Audio PID option is only displayed if the M2/EOM/QPSK2 Frequency Agile QPSK Option
Module is fitted.
The Audio PID option is selected from the Channel 1A Menu by pressing
the Audio PID softkey. The option is used for entering or updating audio
PIDs, as required. Enter a PID using the keypad, then press the Enter
softkey to enter it (see page 3-8, Allocating PIDs).

This rather seems to indicate that its only changeable if the M2 (modulator option ) is fitted but I could be wrong :?

Mark,

Referring to the TT1220 you must change in the Setup/ Advanced Menu/ System opt. => PSI Off instead of DVB.
Now you can enter Vpid and Apid in the Setup/ TV PIDS

Hi Freddy, thanks for the info. however I believe the TT1220 is a DVB receiver - the problem here is Tandberg DVB encoders (E5210,5410, 5610 etc.) & difficulty in changing the default VPID APID etc. On the Tandberg encoders these seem fixed at 257 & 308 etc. (IIRC)...........unless there is some correlation I have misssed? But thanks for the reply .

I used Hyperterminal from windows XP but most terminal progs will work.
Hyperterminal asks for a com name anything will do then which com port your using (I'm using com 1 )
then set to 19200bps, 8bits, parity none, stop bits 1, flow control none.

You will have to programme the audio first because your audio pid is 256, which is the video pid for HV. Tanberg will not allow two devices to have same pid.

start hyperterminal press enter, message "enter diagnostics Y/N" press Y

Then press:
B for config menus. This is the "Configuration Main Menu"
E for audio
a for channel a, i for pid and input 257
ditto for channel b

Esc takes you back a menu so scroll back to "Configuration Main Menu"

D for video, c for encoder, r for pid input 256

again scroll back to "Configuration Main Menu"

A for general box
L for pmtpid input 4095
