Linux help needed please.

Post by G4EWJ » Sun Jan 05, 2014 12:05 am

I have almost no experience of Linux and I'm trying to install v4l-utils to control a PVR-150.

The system is CentOS v6.5 64 bit running on a Intel Core2 Duo.

It seems to have recognised the PVR-150. I've installed v4l-utils using webmin and an rpm manager, but v4l-utils complains that there are dependencies missing.

I tried to load libc.so.6 with yum, but it only offered i686 versions, which I think are 32 bit.

The dependencies are listed on the rpm site, but there are loads of them and I have no idea which one is correct.

Could anyone guide me through the maze please. I could be available on Skype late tomorrow afternoon and evening if anyone could talk me through it.

Brian
