Comtech 13cm DIP switch

Post by M0IKB » Mon Jun 24, 2013 9:25 am

Hi, wondering if anyone out there has a copy of the dip switch settings for the Comtech 13cm TX, that they could let me have?
Its part of a 10Ghz ATV system I have put together but I havent got a copy of the dip settings for setting the TX frequency.
Many thanks

Hi Gus

I have the info - email me at chairperson @ batc.org.uk and I'll send it to you.

I wonder if it would be a good idea to start an online collection of useful manuals where people can put any they have.... thoughts??

Hi Noel

An on-line collection of this sort of info sounds good, as long as we don't run into copyright issues. We could do it on the existing website to get it started....

It depends who the supplier was.
The G1MFG and the 13cm.co.uk ones are a mirror image of each other, so if you don't get the frequency you were expecting switch all the dip switches the other way round.
If it came from Mobicomm they are different again. So some experimenting may be required at first.

Last time I looked the switch settings were on the 13cm.co.uk site http://www.hamtvstore.com/Wide_and_Tx_settings.pdf (this will effectively also tell you the G1MFG settings)

The Mobicomm settings are also on there website http://www.mobicomm.com/store/DFM2400TSIM-B.pdf. or http://www.mobicomm.com/store/FrequencyL.pdf

I am using a custom chip for 10G (Part of a SCART Club Project) if you think you have one of those. I have the settings, just let me know and I will post them here.

Thanks for all the help guys.
Really very much appreaciated, but maybe pushing my luck here but......
Anyone know how to change (or has the code to program the pic) so that the LCD control board for the 23cm comtech RX (10Ghz LNB down to ~1ghz etc) shows 10Ghz?
In other words a mod so that the Controller shows instead of 1296Mhz it would show 10296Mhz?
Might as well ask, one of you may have the perfect solution.
Once again, very many thanks
regards
