Re: HAM-Video from the ISS
Brilliant well done Colin.
On a pass yesterday morning 3 stations in France and Italy managed continuous reception for 7.5 minutes. Now that you have all proved it is receivable it's probably time to start thinking about how we can use signaling to aggregate the signals together to provide automatic handover between stations, thereby providing longer coverage for schools etc....
Tutioune has lock indication and the BATC could host the facility, we just need someone to work out how to do it and write it! There's a challenge for someone!

Re: HAM-Video from the ISS
No problems with the 2Ms/S.
Managed to still have a picture at 1300KM range this morning.

Re: HAM-Video from the ISS
Excellent result Colin, Ive been outside past few nights watching it whizz by overhead, very clear flight across the sky up here in IO83, appeared bang on time to the prediction path on ISS spotter on Ipad, was at 63 deg azimuth last night so would have been good to try some 13cm datv RX, no gear here unfortunately.
Re: HAM-Video from the ISS

This is just what we need to encourage more people into the hobby.
Well done.

Re: HAM-Video from the ISS
Well Colin, your mission is to get on South Today!
Re: HAM-Video from the ISS
There's a problem with that Charles - South today is only a 25 minute program and Colin's single overs are longer than that!
It would have to be a 1 hour Horizon special

Re: HAM-Video from the ISS
Yes that is true, still the BBC do have a history so it might be worth a try

There's always the red button for extended overs.g8gtz wrote:There's a problem with that Charles - South today is only a 25 minute program and Colin's single overs are longer than that!
