10Ghz Modulators

Post by aiqy65 » Thu Oct 30, 2008 1:39 pm

I have inherited a few 10Ghz bit and it looks like I have all I need to receive OK.

What are you guys using to modulate sofan heads with (that bit is missing).
I have seen references to boards that Bob Platts used to supply, are they still
around?

Does anybody also know a source of the old bluecap LNB's. Eby has drawn
a blank as they are all probably in the bin by now. The 'turning the transistors around'
looks an interesting way to do things..

Cheers

I've been looking for a source of the Bob Platts boards and/or kits of parts as well, but have not come up with anything yet.

There is an article with circuit diagrams for a similar unit at http://www.atv-projects.com/Gunn_Diode_Controller.html

I have put a list of 10ghz suppliers in the for-sale section of the forum
