ATV Equipment

Post by M0DTS » Sat Oct 25, 2008 8:34 pm

Hi All

Out of interest i would like to know where everyone gets their 'new' atv equipment from.
Another station got me thinking about when new stations start up they need to know where to they get the gear from, it's no good us telling them how good ATV can be if the equipment is not easily available! and less stations are looking to modify or homebrew from what i have seen.

23cm and 3cm TX seems to be the least available.
Also a 20mW to a few watts amp for 13cm.... where from?
Is there any source these days for alford slot antennas for building new repeaters etc..?
Any antenna suppliers would be good too..

Maybe we can put a 'sticky note' on the forum with the results..

Look in the 'For Sale' section, or go to http://www.13cm.co.uk for gear.

I wont tell you who has posted stuff for sale, but I'm sure you will find out.

If you can afford new equipment for the amateur market then http://www.id-elektronik.de/en/index.htm makes analogue ATV transmitters for 23cms up to 3cms. Their web site does not mention all the bands that they make equipment for. This is a German company and makes very nice products. They also make filters and other things.

The best source for Comtech parts is: http://www.mobicomm.net They are in the Netherlands. This website takes you to an ebay shop where all their products are listed.

And of course we know that DB6NT, http://www.db6nt.de supplies ATV transmitters for many bands as well as up converters, down converters and much more.

For very nice antennas made in the uk: http://www.mastheadantennas.com including the adm special slot fed yagi's. (I do not benefit from these sales)

For ATV transmitter amplifiers and converters etc. for the 70cm band to the 24ghz band try: http://www.dg0ve.de/
Another very good German company, good for digital ATV also.

If anyone needs any other items please email me direct: g8adm@gb3bh.com and I will try to help.

Dave.
