Hello,
I read this month's RSGB RadCom ATV page and have the following question which isn't strictly ATV:
How is the video and audio encoded for streaming to the web?
Is it done in a PC with a capture card or some other way?
I want to be able to encode video & audio and send it over a wireless ethernet WAN link so it can be watched on a remote PC.
Many thanks,
Steve

Re: Encoding Video Over a Network
Hi Steve,
Are you a member of the BATC? If so, the up-coming CQ-TV 223 has an article all about this subject. If you're not a member, you can join as a cyber member for only £4/year
The BATC has recently launched a streaming service here: http://www.batc.tv where we use Adobe's Flash Media Server version 3 (FMS3) to stream video to Adobe's Flash Player embedded in a web page. The encoder is available as a free download here:
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmedi ... iaencoder/
If you are a BATC member you can get a free streaming account, just email info@batc.tv with your name and membership number.
Hope that helps.

If I have correctly understood, to you is necessary to video - audio ip a server or ip camera. It will compress your audio - video a signal, will transform in MPEG-4 with high the sanction (up to 704x576 pic) and will transfer in the Internet.
