Hi All,

I'm new to this site, it looks interesting.

I would like to send Tv signals from a camera on a slowly moving small radio controlled car, back to my vehicle 50 to 300mtrs away, in a wildlife setting. This doesn't need to be good quality, and only needed for aiming a Digital camera. I would like to know if this is possible and if an amateur radio licence covers this type of thing.

Cheers, Camerart.

Hi Camerart,

Assuming your camera output is a standard composite video signal, you can get some small 2.4ghz transmitters from Ebay for a reasonable price. An example unit is here: ... 4aa742feac

Assuming you are in the UK, as it is on the 2.4ghz licence exempt band, you do not need an Amateur radio licence to use it.

Hope this helps,
