Activity March 20/21 Repeater contest?

Hi All

Just posting to see if there will be anyone else thinking of portable activity over this weekend?
Hopefully i'l be out on the Saturday with 23cm Analogue and 70cm Digital TX/RX from the North Yorks Moors.

The main plan is to try some Digital tests on 70cm but will be monitoring 23cm GB3VL and GB3EY for activity, possibly GB3KM if i can get a link setup to get over the hill... There is rarely anyone on on a contest day anyway mind.........

Anyone else going to join in if the weather looks reasonable?

I won't have any gear, but I might go out into North Wales on the talkback channel and see what the paths are like for future reference.

Do you have an NGR for where you're likely to be?

Hi Brian,
I'l probably be at SE613977 (IO94LI) as last weekend's session at IO94MJ did not yield the results i expected, too much breakthrough from Bilsdale UHF stuff on the receiver to make anything out around 1310MHz. May do some more tests tomorrow with a filter and better preamp and see what happens...

May not go out yet, depends if i get at least one reply from someone going to be on..
I'm not too bothered about repeater contest so would be nice to have some direct QSO's!!

I didn't make it in the end. When I reached the highest point of the main road, the visibility was below 100m, so I decided that another 500 feet of elevation probably wasn't wise.
