Summer Fun ATV Activity

Post by M0DTS » Sat May 09, 2009 7:06 pm

Hi All

The Summer Fun ATV Contest/Activity weekend is coming up 6-7th June. Who's going to be on?
If you will be on either day please let everyone know with a message on the forum.. :-)

M0DTS/p will be QRV on:
23cm 100W to 2x28el
13cm 25W to Yagi or 60cm dish
3cm on request
70cm on request only, not enough space to take it all!
Digital receive on all of above above bands is possible, no TX yet

23cm SSB and 13cm SSB also in-between qso's

You can also contact us on 144.750MHz Talkback or by phone on 07999796421 for a sked!

Hopefully there will be a few of us /p from the NY moors on 7th June Sunday morning.

We hope to see some other stations QRV on TV and 144.750.

Hi All
I will be around at the weekend but I only have 70cm digital Transmit.
I will also look around on 23cm 13cm and 3cm receive only.
Location IO91 TO. Harrow NW London.
I will listen on 144.750 MF and 144.175 ssb. (Or is it 144.170?)
Also watch KST
I will try to get some more stations from this area to come on also.

Hi All

It was not the best of days for portable being mostly overcast and a cold North Easterly wind on top of the NY Moors but it could have been worse...hi
On site the repeater strengths were lower than usual, GB3VL was about P3 - Normally P5 and GB3EY was about P1 - normally P4. Looked for the 10GHz output from Lincoln but nothing seen.
Thanks to the Grimsby group who were also /p we made one 2-way TV contact on Sunday morning!!
Also thanks to Peter G3PYB who was the only other station we attempted to make contact with in the contest, heard 3 active ATV stations on 144.750 while we were out so it was not the most activity we have seen but did manage to work Terry G1LPS at ~P1 beaming straight into a large hill to the north of us later in the afternoon!
We did make a 'few' qso's on 23 and 13cm narrowband later in the day to make up for it!
Overally conditions were poor by the lack of signal with most contacts on all bands...typical!

Catch you ALL next contest...!
