Assuming the switcher that Martin lent me while I was cobbling together the logic board is identical to the one he's using currently, then that is described as seamless in the spec'. I suspect VLC or the ZOE encoder box is possibly objecting to a change of format when the switcher changes from 4 screen mode to a single screen mode and vice versa. The worryingly named software John, JTT, has unearthed also objects but then tries reconnecting until it's happy again (excuse the pun).

I agree Martin. I think the only true way is to standards convert and synchronise the incoming before switching. This more or less is what the ATEM Mini and similar devices do..

Haivision Pro is also good for sending SRT streams. All you need is an old/phone tablet, and configure the app to send the stream from the phone camera, so a super simple portable setup. Scroll down on my Blog page here for the app setup instructions.

INTERMITTENT CONNECTION

I have been experiencing problems with intermittent connection to my SRT Repeater.
This I thought was a network problem but have found that the updated firmware to my ZowieBox encoder is unstable.
Now running the previous firmware 1.1.0.1

This will not overcome a poor network signal but helps with a more stable system.

I have also found that the RYDE is an excellent way to watch the g8koe BATC Stream. (This is my SRT Repeater )

ALL DID NOT GO WELL

Downgraded the firmware all looked good except had no sound.
Chasing lots of problems.
So far playing all day with settings etc.
Repeater not function as it should!
