PicoTuner W5100S firmware

Post by ct7afy » Sat Jan 11, 2025 7:12 pm

I have been tried to update the the PicoTuner V3 with the ptwh0v3e-w5100s.uf2 firmware without success. When I copy this firmware to the virtual disk drive nothing happens. However when I copy the PicoTuner_V_0_12.uf2 firmware it recognizes the file and reboots. What am I doing wrong ?

I will ask the obvious question, are you using a wiznet w5100s-evb-pico and not the w5500-evb-pico? They use different files.

Hi Mike, It is the W5100S-EVB-Pico2. Is this the problem ? It works only with the W5100S-EVB-Pico version ?

The Pico2 (RP2350) is not binary compatible with the Pico (RP2040). The UF2 files are different and need to be built separately for each chip type.

The USB PicoTuner_V_0_12.uf2 version of the firmware contains both UF2 files combined into one and will therefore work with either chip type.

Hi Colin

Thanks for the clarification. I just ordered the right pico :)
