Thanks to lots of help from Martin, I have today achieved 2-way SRT using the prototype Portsdown 5 hardware.

If anyone wants to reproduce this (pending formal release), the instructions are:

Use the latest versions of VLC and ffmpeg. Transmit used a Raspberry Pi 5 with a (very old) C920 webcam. The command line was:

Receive used a Raspberry Pi 5 with a (new) touchscreen 2 and an audio dongle:

 cvlc --codec ffmpeg --transform-type=90 --video-filter "transform{true}" srt://g8koe.ddns.net:8890?streamid=read:g8koestream:g8koe:g8koesrt

The "--transform-type=90 --video-filter "transform{true}"" is required for the new touchscreen to change it from portrait (the default) to landscape.

I hope to incorporate SRT TX and RX into the Portsdown 5 as one of the first capabilities.

I will be out tomorrow 19/12/2024 and my system will be off.

Also have a quad display installed for the four inputs.

Hi,

Just changed SRT1 input so that all four use the same key.

If your SRT one has ww at end just replace the ww with 2024

I can only have audio on one of the four screen at a time
Default will be screen 1 (SRT1) with audio.
