KiKit an automation plugin for KiCAD.

Post by gu6efb » Tue Apr 02, 2024 8:14 pm

Hi All

I have been playing with a KiKit an automation plugin for KiCAD.

Whilst I don’t fully understand much of it, the one feature I do like is the ability to generate a SMD stencil STL file from your Kicad board file.
You then print 3D print the SMD stencil which then allows you to solder past your PCB before fitting components and then placing the PCB in the reflow oven.

My first results are OK for home production of PCB’s and I am sure I will fine tune it the more I use it.

Anyone else using this plugin?
