I think it would be good if someone else who has mastered this process could update this wiki page https://wiki.batc.org.uk/ADF435x_PIC with step by step instructions and screen grabs on how to program the PIC - then we won't have to rely on the South of England programming service!

We can also put some commonly needed .hex and .asm files for the 4351 and 5535 up there for download.

A secondary question - would the same or similar code work for the 4153? http://www.analog.com/media/en/technica ... DF4153.pdf

Hi Claudio

Please email me the code too; I maybe able to do it earlier. All the software is still loaded and I have the programmer.

At the moment the only thing missing is my memory; I haven't used the software for 18 months

I'll let Dave know if I'm able to do it.

Claudio,

Emailed the hex code for the first of your two files. I also programmed a PIC if you need it.

Unable to test the code as my ADF4351's are all 10MHz Ref.

Let me know if you want the frequencies changed.

Following on from the help sent to Claudio I2NDT I have written a guide in .pdf format and added it to the BATC wiki. It covers installation of software suitable for compiling Ron's C code and writing the generated hex file to a PIC. Screen grabs illustrate each stage of the process through to programming the PIC. Thanks to Claudio for doing a test run through the guide which can be found here. https://wiki.batc.org.uk/ADF435x_PIC

Michel

You need to modify the fatcontrol.c variables in the section of code highlighted below:

code.jpg (66.08 KiB) Viewed 3502 times
The output frequencies are multiples of 100kHz, so 502 = 50.2MHz, 1465= 146.5MHz, 4370 = 437MHz etc.
