I wonder if there's any news on whether this repeater will be active soon.

I live in Bolsover and am just starting out on ATV and there seems to be a lack of activity on the mode round here.

With reference to Dominics reply and not wishing to sound negative this rumour has been in circulation for the past 4 - 5 years so don't hold your breath.

I know stations within 5 miles line of site who have received nothing "even when it was supposed to be on" !!

I myself have drove within spitting distance did'nt even get a sync pulse ....

The only people in the past who tried to get things moving were Dave TNE & Alan TKM who is now sadly silent key .
Even then their efforts were Poo Poo'ed by others with much Grander ideas which amounted to nothing ...

And looking at the the Derby ATV website, the last time it was updated was 09/03/2005!

Looking in the archives, the NoV was issued in 2004, and tests were said to have been carried out.

Does anyone have contact details for G7MKS, who is listed as the keeper in the RSGB Repeater lists at http://www.ukrepeater.net/repeaters/gb3dh.htm

QRZ.COM does not have a listing and he's listed as "Particulars withheld" in most of the lookups I've done.

I think someone else has commented on how difficult it is to get hold of some of the listed keepers on some of the repeaters...

I managed to track down the registered keeper and got an email back saying that the ATV repeater was, indeed, not on the air due to on site interference problems. However, he did say he was hoping to use a different site, so it may be operational at some unspecified time in the future.

To be honest, this doesn't supprise me. I know the mast it is supposed to be on, and it has maybe 10 or 12 broadcast transmitters on it... http://tx.mb21.co.uk/gallery/drum-hill.php (scroll down a bit to see the mast pics)
