SDR Television V1.0.6 receive

I installed the 2 pieces of software namely SDR Radio & SDR television.

I have the tx side working with webcam. into Pluto. tried it through GB3YT
( which is sited in my loft just 20ft above my shack )
encoding works good and i get in repeater OK good & clean looking.

On receive I can see the signal on the software spectrum ,as I would expect a nice clean bump.
I see no constellation in the "constellation window" and therefore No decode !
On checking just about every setting over and over again , still no luck.

Ive looked for youtube videos , read the manual too ( heavy going for me )

Does anyone have it working ?
Has anyone experienced the same problem
Ive probably missed something somewhere !

Whats your thoughts

What width signal are you trying to decode? You (for instance) need to set the SDR bandwidth to at least TWICE the symbol rate. For instance, with my Pluto set to 3MHz I can SEE the 1500ks QO-100 beacon signal, but it won't decode until I choose 4MHz.
At the moment what you need to receive carries over to TX (with limitations as above) so you can't TX say 333 and rx say 2MS...at least I don;t think so...
Hope that helps...

Hi Gareth,

Good information thanks.
I noted the sdr bandwidth. I'll check it when I select the pluto on START.
Yes I noticed the SR swapped over to whatever was in the tx side.
I do get a decode when BOTH receive & transmiit sides are the same.
At least that's useful. Obviously it's in constant development. We'll see how things progress.

Appreciate your help .

Ken

Hi Ken

The GB3YT repeater uses DVB-S at 4 MS/s and MPEG 2 according to the internet, so clearly very old. SDR television does not support DVB-S so it can't work with the repeater. Also 8 MHz bandwidth is probably too much for the USB. It should work with itself and other DVB-S2 signals like the majority of those on QO100.

Hi Mike,
that's partially incorrect, not sure where you got that info from.

The repeater is in my loft.

Appreciate your input. It's useful & does in fact
Explain why I'm not getting a decode.
Hopefully the developer will get to the full monty eventually.

Best regards Ken

Google AI gave that spec - 2 out of 5 things were correct :)
