Also note:
"This board keeps the same layout as Raspberry Pi Pico, however in order to expose the 4 extra GPIOs, we sacrificed four of the GND pins (that are exposed in the original design). This allows the addition of four missing GPIO: GPIO23, GPIO24, GPIO25, GPIO29 on four of the eight GND pads."
So those 4 pins could possibly be grounded in a PicoTuner, if all the standard Pico ground pins are actually grounded. This would not be good if they are used as outputs. E.g. GPIO25 is the Pico onboard LED.

They are grounded in the Picotuner. You could just not fit the pins I suppose but by doing that they have broken compatibility. Best stick to the recommended parts.
