Hi Martin,

Yes I did a clean install after removing v2.08. I think I'm going to message Dominique to see if he can help, it's that or stick with H264.

...are you sure I can't use a pair of 813's?...

Hi Dave,
I meant to address my question to Clive.
It's easy to forget to uninstall old versions of DATV Easy I did and had problems.
I expect Dominique gets lots of questions.

Hi Martin

Yes, ran the uninstaller on both systems and both versions. Even removed the debris left behind by the uninstaller.

What parameters are you using Martin?

I've not got good results at all trying to use 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Martin/Dave

Thanks for the info. Those settings didn't improve my situation, but as you have it working properly I decided to try a fresh start.

I ran the uninstaller. I then removed C:\ProgramData\F1EJP, C:\F1EJP and C:\Program Files\F1EJP folders and their contents.

I then edited the registry to remove all keys related to the F1EJP folders, rebooted and then reinstalled DATV-Easy v2.16 from scratch.

Using the default parameters, a quick test last night showed some promise. I'm going to give it a longer test tonight and try the same procedure on Richard G4YTV's laptop.

It might just be debris left over from earlier versions that hasn't been completely removed that's causing the problem.

I recall Martin G8KOE doing a guide somewhere on how to set it up. John G7JTT also wrote a CQTV article on obs

Mike
Can any one point to that article? Or the guide ?

Hi Tony, you can find some information below, I use a legacy version of OBS and it works fine, with both DATV-EASY and the excellent software from Michael DL5OCD, I have found a way to use the latter without any Virtual Audio Cable software, which I hate and always have trouble with. DATV-EASY didn't need any VAC's either. I have trouble getting lip sync correct with DATV-EASY for some reason though, but others seem to have no issues.

Whilst very far from a power user I have got a reliable set up to use OBS from my PC in the house over a hard wired LAN to my Pluto and PA outside by the dish, so feel free to e-mail me if you think I might be able to help at all, but don't expert me to be any kind of expert!

My e-mail is good on my QRZ page for 2E0ILY

Good luck, and all the best Tony.
