Re: 2.4 PA in ebay
Hi Esko,
I use the electric hob in the kitchen (while the XYL is out) to warm the pallet to 180-200C and then carefully heat the part to be removed until the solder melts with a gentle heat gun as it is easy to loosen and move nearby components. The pallets can absorb a lot of heat so I don't think a heatgun on its own would be enough. An infra red thermometer is a definite help.

...are you sure I can't use a pair of 813's?...

Mike,
Yes, they added the components that do the x 10 and switched in or out.

Interesting. I will have a look out for one. They are a bit pricey new.

Hello Dave
I have one portable unit and also old reflow Owen controller. I need to build heather .
Sometimes you need to build your tools before actual job.
One question, my unit is still in transfer.
I need to cut .aluminum plate.
I did not found unit dimension anywhere ?

Hi Terry,
Will need to have a look inside again to do that, from what I remember where the extra black pot is (50k) and open one end, it looks like the mod was taking that part on the pcb out (link or fixed resistor) and install the pot in its place, with the switch just shorting out the pot, and having an rf source to set the x 10.
