DOWNLOAD > DATV-Easy V2.12

Post by F1EJP » Thu Dec 08, 2022 10:42 pm

Hi there,

New version V2.12 compatible with LimeSDR mini, PlutoSDR with manufacturer firmware and Pluto with F5OEO firmware.
Will be available on the next post.
New compared to version 2.08:

- modification reset watchguard and new ARDUINO program (following some bugs when switching on the relays)
- Added rx frequency display for the QO100 satellite
- Added rolloff 0.15
- Choice of squared or not of Watts measurements in file C:\F1EJP\param.ini (depending on whether the measurement is linear or logarithmic)
- Modification "Automatic image" in "All automatic" for audio also (memorization)
- Modification of the PTT button > remains engaged independently of Stop
- adjustment of automatic PCR thresholds
- reset AD9361 Pluto on exit
- application of new parameters by pressing START + again
- even easier! Added audio and video input on Logitec C920 and C922 camera (no need to know OBS or Vmix)
- tick to get a separate monitoring window
- reduction of thresholds to improve low throughput SR25 or 20
- Addition of new remote commands in UDP (see Remote UDP server file)
- Added 4K for fun..
- ffmpeg parameter optimizations for low speed and cuts: buffer setting, data stub thresholds, automatic values
- added latest version ffmpeg 2022 12 06 (newer than 5.1.2)
- added time delay setting on LimeSDR mini calibration (11 seconds by default)
- improved image definition presets

Great Job Dominique,

Looking forward, and keep up the spirit.
Your project is super for the ham community and will make a good datv transmittion more easy.

Looking forward to trying the low SR's on 29MHz (and indeed everywhere else too!) :-)

Hello,

Here is the new version 2.12 which includes all the improvements indicated in the post above.
You can use it with:
- the ADALM PLUTO in USB2 with the original firmware from Analog Device
- The ADALM PLUTO in Ethernet with the Firmware of Evariste F5OEO
- The LimeSDR mini in USB3

You can leave many of the default settings on Automatic or experiment with your settings.
The software also allows you to monitor and control your amplifiers by relay control.

The ZIP Pack includes:
- the installation executable
- the drivers to install (for the Pluto install the 2 exe's)
- links to compatible graphics cards or processor for hardware encoding
- the program for an Arduino Uno with an Ethernet shield card for monitoring the current, voltage, temperature and power.
- a summary of possible remote commands in UDP
Do not forget to read the PDF notice before any questions.

Thank you for your feedback and encouragement.
Happy testing!

Thanks for another update :-)
I can't get any SR's below 66ks to run. Using OBS V27 with virtual camera, Intel I7 gen 7 laptop with either Intel or Soft coding.
I get the message "Vidrate is too low - modify parameters" but I can't change Vidbitrate as its automatic?
Am I doing something wrong or is my laptop not up to the task? I have tried DVB-T, DVBS and DVBS2 and am using a RevC Pluto 0303.
Thanks
Gareth

Thanks Martin, I have now got that working too.
I assumed that because I could choose almost any combination, that it would work.
I could do with a list of 'permitted combinations' but that said, now I know which parameters to mess with, I have a 20ks 16apsk DVBS-2 signal coming out which SDRAngel is trying hard to decode.
I still have to match the parameters on the Pluto webpage but that seems 'logical'???

Progress though.....

Hi Gareth,
My Pluto is an early one and I only have V33 manufactures firmware installed.
All my settings are done in DATV Easy.
Makes things very easy.
I have tried V35 which is the latest firmware works OK just lower output from my Pluto.

I have DATV-Easy V2.12 working now.
Although the previous version worked, as did FreeStream coder I couldn't get this one to work with my Nvidia RTX3070 TI but Intel worked fine.
To cut a long story short, updating the drivers from Nvidia fixed the problem.

Colin

I can't get v2.12 to work either and I'm using the RTX A2000 card.

Do you know how old your drivers were that didn't work? Not had this card long so the drivers are recent but probably not the latest.

I haven't tried Intel though. That will be my next step.
