Rocket twin LNB

Post by g3uis » Tue Oct 18, 2022 12:09 pm

I’m trying to source these rare LNB’s. Ideally a twin but a single would do. I’m fortunate to have been given a waveguide as per the POTY design but the LNB is elusive.

Perhaps someone might have a spare they are willing to sell

I don't understand why you would want a Rocket Twin given you are going to throw it away except for the lens. Just get the cheapest. E.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295153312080 or https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353772919592 - the LNB itself is useless for QO-100, you only want the lens.

You didn't mean the Bullseye LNB did you? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/194069803346

Assuming you only need a lens you could buy the HB9VQQ version of the HB9PZK lens instead. Passion Radio used to sell them.

These Ebay sellers are using something similar but it looks like Nylon.

PS - if you have a lathe, Rexolite 1422 1 inch rod is best. It costs about $15 per foot see https://www.mcmaster.com/catalog/126/3831 but 1ft will make several lenses. Keith, GU6EFB found that SEP sell it in the UK https://seplastic.com/ but I don't know if they deal with individuals or not. They are one of those companies who don't have a catalogue but require you to email or call them. Email is apparently sales@seplastic.com
