Hi,
I'm planning on building myself a new PC. Which videocard should I choose best for encoding H264/H265?

Re: Choosing videocard for H264/H265 encoding
That depends - a recent nvidia card should have H265 encoding, but so do recent intel cpus.
If you want CUDA cores for DSP etc then see here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nvidia_NVDEC - e.g. a GTX1050 is an older card that should be very cheap by now, but it isn't cheap because of the shortages. I have a GTX1660 Super, cost £200 when it came out, £300 now but that's a lot better than a year ago when they were £600.
To avoid all that, see if your CPU has built in hardware H265, if it has then that's all you need. Typically anything newer than 6th generation. See https://www.intel.co.uk/content/www/uk/ ... phics.html
Not sure where AMD are on this.
