Revision D Pluto's and external reference.

Post by Basil » Thu Mar 17, 2022 9:14 am

I want to buy a spare Pluto but I have been reading that the current Revision D units are problematic with holding an external 40 MHz reference setting and on rebooting change this setting to one with an offset. So getting a pre installed mini coaxial socket for a reference injection seems more than countered by this glitch in getting the setting to "stick".

My older one has no such problem and holds its setting for my Leo Bodnar external reference just fine.

A crutch seems to be to fudge it in SDR Console, but that's horrible, and for wide band DATV??

Any insight as to resolving this from Revision D owners please?
