Anybody still experimenting with RPIDATV

Hello all, is anybody still experimenting with RPIDATV ?, it looks interesting and wondering if it still works ?
I have made a micro SD card with the downloaded files, which seems to work as I can talk to the RPI4 with putty.

Hi Thanks reply, I have built a portsdown4 with a pluto, still fine tuning it for video and audio, but I am also interested in the RPIDATV original project as I have some rpi's left over and interested in trying to get them to work with rpidatv, but I am not a linux user.

You would require an I/Q Modulator to go with your rpi.

If you want to use other pis you could use this or make an earlier Portsdown.
I think it all started circa 2018 with a pi and a BATC Filter/modulator board (It is all on the BATC Wikki)

There are always different ways to obtain the same goal.

You probably are a linux user, whether it is your TV, router, phone. The original IQ output is still there in the Portsdown 2018, you just need to do something with the I and Q, e.g. the filter modulator board, the digithin etc. All are obsolete and no longer being developed but they should work now as well as they did in 2018. You will perhaps be limited to DVB-S but if your local repeater is still using DVB-S and MPEG2 why not. Now would be a good time to try to learn a little about Linux. It's not that hard to learn how to edit config files.
